Group Class Policies

Please make sure you read our policies before registering to one of our world language group classes.

Group Class Sessions

  • Group classes are held online with a live instructor.

  • Class size: 2 to 10 students.

    Except the intensive programs:

  • Adult classes: 1h30 hours / week.

  • Teens & Kids’ classes: 1 hour / week.

Enrollment and Tuition

  • Optional - Level Assessment: $30 (30-minute assessment test with an instructor).

  • Books: $30 - $70 for a complete level (a complete level includes 5 levels for a combined 24- 26 weeks of learning).

  • Sessions are ongoing. Students may join at any time as long as proficiency levels meet the class level. Payments will be prorated for classes missed upon enrollment.

  • Payment must be made in full before the beginning of the session: an installment payment plan can be offered upon request.

  • Payments can be made with a credit or debit card or with PayPal directly on the website. For bank transfer, cash, Zelle or check (there is a $25 fee for returned checks), please contact Lingo Mundo Academy.

Refunds and Credits Policy

  • Students who cancel earlier than 7 (seven) business days prior to the class session start date are entitled to a 90% refund of tuition paid.

  • Students who cancel later than 7 (seven) business days prior to the class start date are entitled to a 80% credit towards future classes.

  • All requests for refunds and credits must be received in writing by the times listed above.

  • No credits or refunds will be provided for cancellations after the first class.

  • No refunds or credits are provided for absences.

  • No refunds or credits on books and materials.

Make up for Missed Classes

  • Students enrolled in classes (Group Class or Intensive Program) are entitled to up to 2 make-up private lessons at a discounted rate (private tuition rate with a 10% discount).

  • Make-up lessons cannot be rescheduled once finalized; no refunds are given for canceled make-up lessons.

  • In the event of a class cancellation for any unexpected circumstances, Lingo Mundo Academy will coordinate with the students and the instructors to schedule a make-up class. No alternative make-up dates will be offered for students who are unable to attend the make-up session.

Discounts are offered for:

  • Instructors.

  • Auto renew: 5% discount.

  • Early bird discounts and special offers will be communicated on the web site.

    Instructors and Academics

  • Our instructors are either native speakers of the source and target languages or possess fluency at a native-speaker level.

  • At Lingo Mundo Academy, we strive to maintain the same instructor throughout each class and session. However, there may be occasional substitutions with equally qualified tutors to ensure continuity and quality.

  • Please note that while we provide expert guidance and support, Lingo Mundo Academy does not guarantee students will pass any test or exam.

Private Lessons and Lunch & Learn Policies

Please make sure you read the below policies that apply when you purchase one of our Packages for Private Lessons or Lunch & Learn.

Private Lesson Packages

  • Lessons are purchased in packages of 30 minute (assessment), 1 hour or 6, 12, 24 or 48 hours.

  • Each lesson can be 1 hour, 1.5 hours, 2 hours or more.

Private lesson packages expire as following:

Tuition Fees

  • There is no registration fee for the Private Lesson Packages.

  • Private Lessons are offered online with a live instructor.

  • A full payment must be made at least 48 hours before the beginning of the lessons.

  • Payments can be made with a credit or debit card, or PayPal directly on the website. Please contact Lingo Mundo Academy for payment by bank transfer, check (there is a $25 fee for returned checks), cash or Zelle.

  • Packages of hours are not refundable.

Additional Discounts Private Lessons

  • Bring a friend: 20% discount on the Package cost for all.

    The party of friends buys the same package and attends the same sessions.

  • Auto renew: 5% discount.

  • For a party greater than 2 students, please contact Lingo Mundo Academy.

  • Discounts do not apply cumulatively.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

  • The students may cancel or reschedule their lesson 24 hours maximum before the class through the automated reminder they receive. Students may also send an Email or call Lingo Mundo Academy.

  • No voicemails will be accepted as cancellation.

    If a proper notice is not received, the lesson will be charged.

  • A lesson can only be canceled and rescheduled once.

  • Students can reschedule a maximum of:

    • 1 hour from the 6 lessons package,

    • 2 hours of the 12-hour package,

    • 4 hours of the 24-hour package

    • or 8 hours of the 48-hour package

Instructors and Academics

  • Our instructors are either native speakers of the source and target languages or possess fluency at a native-speaker level.

Lunch & Learn Packages

The Special Programs Packages are A La Carte.

Students choose which Program they wish to attend (they may attend both), whenever they wish to attend (within the expiration limits set below):

  • Lunch & Learn American English

  • Lunch & Learn French

  • Breakfast Ts (Tuesdays – Thursdays)

 

  • 1 session (1h00) – 1h00 package

  • 5 sessions (1h00 each) – 5h00 package

  • 10 sessions (1h00 each) – 10 hours package

  • 20 sessions (1h00 each) – 20 hours package

 

Lunch & Learn packages expire as follow:

Note:

In case of cancelation, Lingo Mundo Academy must be informed at least 24 hours in advance.

Cancelation made less than 24 hours in advance will be charged.

Code of Conduct

Policy brief & purpose

Our Code of Conduct outlines our expectations regarding any individual’s behavior towards colleagues, customers and the overall organization while providing services for the Company.

We promote freedom of expression and open communication. But we expect all individuals providing services for the Company to follow our Code of Conduct. They should avoid offending, participating in serious disputes and disrupting our workplace. We also expect them to foster a well-organized, respectful and collaborative environment.

Scope

This policy applies to all individuals providing services for the Company regardless of contractual agreement or rank.

Policy elements

Any individual representing the Company is bound by their contract to follow our Code of Conduct while performing their duties. We outline the components of our Code of Conduct below:

Compliance with law

All service provider must protect our Company’s legality. They should comply with all environmental, safety and fair dealing laws. We expect any individual representing the Company to be ethical and responsible when dealing with our Company’s finances, services, partnerships and public image.

Respect in the workplace

All individuals representing the Company should respect their colleagues. We won’t allow any kind of discriminatory behavior, harassment or victimization. Each individual providing services to the Company should conform with our equal opportunity policy in all aspects of their work, from recruitment and performance evaluation to interpersonal relations. 

Protection of Company Property

All individuals representing the Company should treat our Company’s property, whether material or intangible, with respect and care.

Any individual representing the Company (e.g. Service Providers, Consultants …)

●       Shouldn’t misuse company equipment or use it frivolously.

●       Should respect all kinds of incorporeal property. This includes trademarks, copyright and other property (information, reports etc.). Any individual representing the Company should use them only to complete their job duties for the Company.

●       Any individual representing the Company should protect the Company facilities and other material property (e.g. company cars) from damage and vandalism, whenever possible.

Professionalism

All individual representing the Company must show integrity and professionalism in the workplace either physical or virtual.

Personal appearance

All employees must follow our dress code and personal appearance guidelines.

Corruption

We discourage any individual representing the Company from accepting gifts from clients or partners. We prohibit briberies for the benefit of any external or internal party.

Job duties and authority

All individuals representing the Company should fulfill their job duties with integrity and respect toward their colleagues, customers, stakeholders and the community. Likewise, we expect team members to complete their duties with skill and in a timely manner.

We encourage mentoring throughout our company.

Conflict of interest

We expect employees to avoid any personal, financial or other interests that might hinder their capability or willingness to perform their job duties. Any potential Conflict of Interest shall be reported prior to performing any undertaking.

Collaboration

Any individual representing the Company should be friendly and collaborative. They should try not to disrupt the workplace or present obstacles to their colleagues’ work.

Communication

All individuals representing the Company must be open for communication with their colleagues, or team members.

Policies

All individuals representing the Company should read and follow our Company policies.

Disciplinary actions

Our company may have to take disciplinary action against any individual representing the Company who repeatedly or intentionally fail to follow our code of conduct. Disciplinary actions will vary depending on the violation.

Possible consequences include:

  • Termination of the contract with immediate effect for more serious offenses.

  • Suspension of the contract with immediate effect.

  • We may take legal action in cases of corruption, theft, embezzlement or other unlawful behavior.
